When we prepared for the 1st Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit, we decided to meet with some people from Southeast Asia residing in Moscow to find out why they decided to make Russia their home.

My first interviewee was Lenin Magallona. He was born in the Philippines, and grew up in a happy family; but once he came to Russia he found himself reluctant to leave.


Trade and Economic Relations between Russia and Indonesia

Ms. Victoria Sabon defended her doctoral thesis entitled "The Development of Trade and Economic Relations between Russia and Indonesia: Substance and Prospects" at the Russian Peoples' Friendship University on 20 June 2013.


All set for lift-off!

During our preparations for the 1st Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit, participants from the Indonesian School of Moscow had the opportunity to visit the Memorial Museum of Astronautics. A tour of the museum, which showcased the outstanding achievements of Soviet space technology, was organised specially for them.


The 1st Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit: To be Continued

The 1st Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit was held in Moscow in May this year. The Summit was attended by young people from Russia and the ten ASEAN countries. Participants unanimously agreed that it was necessary to increase contact between the youth of our countries, and that the Summit should continue to be held in the future.


Visit to Russia: Pinoy students' Impressions

In May this year a group of students from De La Salle University (Manila) visited Moscow to join the first ever ASEAN-Russia Youth Summit. See the video for their positive impressions from travelling to Russia.
