Vitaliya Letnitskaya has B.A. and M.A. in Asian and African degree program from Moscow State University, Institute of Asian and African Studies, Department of History, majoring in History of Vietnam and Vietnamese language.
In conjunction with her studies, she was granted a one-year scholarship from University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (Department of Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies).
Her graduation thesis focused on the changes to social and cultural life of the Northern Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the era of globalization was presented with the excellent grade, and the master thesis digging into divination and fortune-telling traditions in Vietnam was recommended for publishing.
Since 2012 Vitaliya has been working in Indochine Media Ventures (HCMC, Vietnam) in the position of the chief editor of Barcode magazine, a bi-monthly lifestyle magazine for the Vietnamese youth.
When joined the company in 2012, she was the one to make from the scratch the blueprint of a new publication and now it’s a trendsetter lifestyle magazine and city guide popular among the young and creative Vietnamese in HCMC with more than 3,000 subscribers and 11,000 followers on Facebook. Main responsibilities are writing and editing, overseeing the editorial workflow and managing the content production including sponsored and advertorial projects. In addition, she has been most recently working as a content editor of Citizen K Vietnam, a new international title of IMV in Vietnam.
