This has been one of my best experiences so far. I’m very glad that I got this valuable opportunity to speak up our perspectives and recommendations representing my country. It was my very first time attending a youth summit. Thanks to the organizing committee from MOFA, Cambodia for taking care of us throughout our stay in Siem Reap
I was more than happy to exchange our opinions and challenges in an open manner during the summit. I believe that the outcomes of the summit would largely affect the relations between Russia and ASEAN member states. I’m pretty sure that this summit has changed my way of thinking and also enhanced my academic interests. I feel more confident after the summit, and made many friends from Russia and ASEAN countries as well. As a student specializing in Russian language and culture, it’s been incredible for me to meet and talk with my new Russian friends. We agreed to visit each other in the near future!
Site-visit to Angkor Wat also made us closer each other and helped to gain certain knowledge about one of the world’s wonders since our tour leader explained about this ancient temple in details patiently. Friendship dance was one of my favorite sessions from the summit. I got to know many new people better and was able to learn new cultures through this. I strongly believe that this summit would enhance the connectivity between youths from Russia and ASEAN countries, allow us to exchange ideas and best practices on different fields, and implement the tasks effectively in the future. Just one thing, it would be perfect if we could stay a bit longer after the summit so that the delegates could get familiar each other!
However, I really enjoyed the 4th Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit and was very glad to talk about our perspectives and future plans during the summit. I’m very much looking forward to attending the 5th summit and hope to see all of my delegate-friends again soon!
