The ASEAN Centre in MGIMO University and the ASEAN Moscow Committee are delighted to announce the Essay Writing Competition dedicated to the theme “ASEAN at 50: Achievements, Challenges and New Opportunities for Cooperation with Russia”.
We invite students and young professionals from Russia and ASEAN member states who are up to 35 years old and who are interested in the history and contemporary developments of ASEAN-Russia relations to take part in the Essay Writing Competition.
Essay should be no longer than 5000 signs and spaces. The essay should be written in English, logically structured and contain introduction (with the research problem), author’s main arguments, conclusion and recommendations for the development of ASEAN-Russia relations. Authors can refer to the official documents and research literature. There must be no plagiarism in the essay texts.
International jury consisting of three representatives of ASEAN member states and three representatives of Russia will evaluate essays by December 2017 and will announce the results at the award ceremony in the early December 2017 in MGIMO University.
The authors of three best essays from ASEAN member states will be awarded with trips to Moscow and the authors of three best essays from Russia will visit Jakarta in 2018. Authors of other interesting essays not awarded with the first prize will receive gifts and Certificates of Achievement from the jury.
