RISA 2023: Registration is open for the audience members of the International Conference

On October 12-14, 2023 the ASEAN Centre will hold its annual international conference “Russia and ASEAN in Asia-Pacific Region: Dynamics of Cooperation, Regional Processes and the Global Context”. This year the conference is dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership. The conference will take place within the framework of the 15th Convention of the Russian International Studies Association (RISA).

Discussions at the conference will cover:

  • multiple issues relevant to the ASEAN-Russia political and economic cooperation in the context of global turbulence;
  • energy cooperation;
  • new promising areas for ASEAN-Russia strategic partnership;
  • interregional cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Cooperation, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and ASEAN;
  • digital agenda and post-pandemic economic recovery in Russia and Southeast Asia;
  • key trends in the political and socio-economic development of individual ASEAN members and significant regional developments.

The conference program will include special thematic sessions and presentation of new literature on Southeast Asia. A Youth Day is scheduled as a part of the conference. Students and young researchers whose academic interests lay in the field of Southeast Asian studies are welcome to apply.
