MGIMO University and the ASEAN Centre invites students and experts, officials and entrepreneurs, all those who are genuinely interested in Southeast Asian Studies and research on Russia-ASEAN relations to the series of online-lectures and events “ASEAN Academic Days 2020”. The second guest lecturer is a Director of the Department for Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dr. Natalia Stapran. The event will take place on October 21st, 2020 (Wednesday) at 16:00 PM (Moscow time).

The speaker will share her views on the current dynamics of the Russia-ASEAN economic and investment cooperation, as well as on the future prospects of it and will present key Russian economic projects in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Natalia Stapran is currently Director of the Department for Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. She is a Candidate of Historical Sciences and graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), School of International Relations. She was an Associate Professor at the Department of Asian and African Studies at MGIMO University, as well as served as Director of the Russian Research Center of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (RRC APEC) at the RANEP. She was a guest lecturer at the Higher School of Economics and at others leading Russian universities. From 2000 till 2004, Dr. Natalia Stapran worked at the Russian Embassy in Tokyo (Japan). During her past years in the Ministry of Economic Development, she served in a variety of appointments, including as Director of the Department for Projects Support in the Asia-Pacific Region. She was awarded a Recognition Certificate of the President of the Russian Federation. Author of a big number of academic publications and articles.

The online lecture will be via Zoom platform on October 21, 2020 (Wednesday) at 16:00 PM (Moscow time).
