Ph.D. (Cand. Polit. Sc.) in Political Science, Associate Professor
Dr. Ekaterina Koldunova has published in Russian, English, Italian and Chinese on regional transformations, BRICS and global governance, new security threats in East Asia, international relations in the Asia Pacific, Russian foreign policy in the Asia Pacific, political systems of Southeast Asian states, Thailand’s domestic and foreign policy. Her recent books are Security in East Asia: New Challenges (Moscow: Navona, 2010) and Socio-political Thought, High Technologies and Science Development in the Major Asian Countries (co-authored with Sergei Lunev, Moscow: Academia, 2015). She is a publishing editor of Russian Comparative Politics journal.
Her professional experience includes participating in the projects such as «Energy in International Relations» with BP, «Political Atlas of the Contemporary World» with the Institute of Social Projecting, and «World Politics and Conflicts» with the Russian Association of Political Science and POLIS, the Russian Journal of Political Science, visiting fellowship at Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy (MGIMO-NUS programme), PGCertHE programme at London School of Economics and Political Science.
Ekaterina Koldunova is a member of International Studies Association (ISA), Russian Political Science Association (RAPN), Russian National Committee for BRICS studies, UK Higher Education Academy, European Association of Southeast Asian Studies (EuroSEAS), International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), International Political Science Association (IPSA).
She speaks Thai, Lao, English, Italian, French, and German.
